Aurora Fire Starter

Dried peat moss  can be used for insulation to turn a light jacket into a warm coat. Just stuff the jacket full without removing it. It can also be used as mattress material or toilet paper. Sleeping bags should not be stored in stuff sacks. This constant compression will eventually crush the insulation, making for less loft and therefore less warmth. Store bags unpacked on a shelf or in a large cloth bag. Cotton balls and materials like that make great fire starters. The Aurora Fire Starter is simply the best magnesium fire starter on the marked. Designed and made in the USA by Solo Scientific Aurora Fire Starters are a true survival tool designed to support life by starting a fire in just about any environment. Designed to start a lifetime of camp or survival fires, the Aurora Fire Starter 440C - Silver comes with a hardened steel striking blade that can be sharped and reversed for long life (extra blades available sold separately). When stuck properly with the integral blade, the Aurora Fire Starter fires of a stream of sparks as hot as 5000 degrees Fahrenheit guaranteed to ignite tinder and is designed to light thousands of fires before being replaced.

You can eat most insects raw.

Eating protein rich bugs is good for you Crickets are loaded with calcium, and termites are rich in iron, and good for the earth Raising cows, pigs, and sheep is a tremendous waste of the planet's resources, but bug ranching is pretty benign. After all, what's inherently more disgusting about
eating a grasshopper than, say, an oyster? Gordon enthusiastically provides recipes for terrestrial arthropods gleaned from the entomophagic appetites of people around the world, telling you which insects are most delicious and which to avoid, how to cook them, and which wine to drink with your many-legged meal. The recipes themselves are clear, easy to follow, and quite educational, with sidebar tidbits about the bugs you're about to eat.
