wilderness survival kit

A wilderness survival kit should usually contain a signal mirror, a whistle, a fire starter, a compass, fish hooks, razor blades, duct tape, matches and first-aid supplies.Starting with the new "Wilderness Skills & Survival Clinic", this one day course will teach the basics of indigenous survival. Without the use of any modern technology, students will learn the basics of Shelter, Water, Fire, & Food from a perspective that promotes harmonious and sustainable use of our natural resources.

Thanks for the tips I will definitely add those item to my list. Kind of new to this, think an untrained camper can handle a week out in the wilderness? I hope so thanks again.
